Room Rentals
The Community Center of Crawford County is owned and operated by the Active Aging Foundation and is available for rent seven days a week. If you are looking for a facility that can hold a Wedding Reception, a Business Meeting, a Seminar, a Bridal or Baby Shower, a Birthday or Graduation Party, a Luncheon or Formal Dinner, or any other type of event, we have the space you need. The Community Center offers a large multi-purpose room which can be divided into different size sections and other smaller rooms that can accommodate a variety of activities and groups from 2 people to as large as 300 guests. Catering
If you will need catering service for your event, we will be happy to arrange those services for you with our own, in-house caterer or with one of the local caterers we have worked with over the years. From the very simple and elegant to the most elaborate and formal affair, we can provide you with the catering services you need and want. Frequently Asked Questions
Decorating Guidelines
- Are we allowed to put decorations up?
- Yes, but please use painter’s tape for hanging decorations. Do not use push pins, nails, tape, glue, or staples on the walls or floors. All decorations must be removed at the end of the event.
- Please avoid using crepe paper on our linens when renting, as it can cause stains when it gets wet.
- Important: Do not hang anything from the chandeliers or sprinkler heads.
- Candles are allowed if placed in a container that contains the wax.
- Special Effects:
- Fog machines or any smoke-generating devices are prohibited, as they will trigger our fire alarm system.
- Confetti cannons are not allowed.
- Can the lights be dimmed?
- Yes, each section has its own chandeliers with dimmers and there are 2 sets of overhead lights that can be individually controlled with dimmers as well.
- Can we use the TVs?
- Yes, there are six TVs (two in each section). They can stream the same content from one source which is located in Section A. We recommend requesting this as soon as possible if you would like it for your event. We also recommend scheduling an appointment 1-2 weeks before your event to test compatibility with your device; you may need to bring your own cables.
Food & Drinks
- Do I have to use the in-house caterer?
- No, you can choose an outside caterer, but it must be approved by the Community Center of Crawford County. You’re also welcome to bring your own food.
- Using the in-house caterer provides a comprehensive package, including food, china, silverware, white table linens, and skirting, priced per person.
- Are serving items provided?
- No, you need to supply your own items unless using the in-house caterer.
- Is alcohol allowed?
- Yes, you are responsible for providing all alcohol and related items (bartender, cups, mixers, garnishes, etc.) as we do not have a liquor license.
Room Set-up
- Does the Hall have kitchen facilities?
- Yes, the kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, counter space, a sink, and an ice machine at no additional cost. Please note, the kitchen may be shared with other groups depending on the schedule.
- The use of the stoves and ovens is available for an additional fee of $75 plus sales tax. Additionally, we require that the Community Center of Crawford County be added to your homeowner’s insurance for the rental day, with a minimum liability coverage of $250,000.
- What sizes are the tables?
- Primarily, we have 8 ft by 2.5 ft rectangular tables, with limited quantities of various other sizes (8 ft by 2 ft, 6 ft by 2.5 ft etc.) and some round tables (eight 6 ft and four 5 ft). Availability of round tables may vary based on event size and requests.
- How will the tables and chairs be set up?
- One to two weeks before your event, the Active Aging Foundation will contact you to discuss your setup needs, including guest count, table arrangements for food, drinks, gifts, and directions signs to lead your guests to the room your event is in.
Miscellaneous Questions
- Am I responsible for cleaning the Hall?
- Please ensure that all decorations and personal items are removed. Any unwanted items should be disposed of in the provided garbage cans, additional garbage bags are available if needed.
- Our staff will handle the tear down of tables and chairs, as well as the removal of any rented linens and floor cleaning.
- Is there additional parking?
- Yes, there is a parking lot adjacent to the hall, as well as two additional lots located behind the building near the intersection of Pine Street and Market Street.
- Is smoking permitted in the building?
- Smoking is not permitted inside the building. A designated smoking area is located outside on the patio near McDonald’s. Smoking is not allowed in any other outdoor areas.
- Minors must be supervised at all times when outside. Running and climbing on railings or columns is not allowed.

Below is the room availability calendar dates that show Section A, Section B or Section C available for rent are listed on the available dates. Dates without any list of a section or multiple sections, are not available for rent.
We have one large room that divides into three smaller sections.
