Main Tickets are Sold Out
View the drawing live on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 7 PM on our Facebook page @ Active Aging Foundation.

31st Annual “Winnin’ of the Green” – $5,000 Online Virtual Reverse Raffle Rules

Format for the $5,000 Grand Prize BOARD DRAWINGS:

The numbers being drawn live on Facebook will correspond to the number on the Main Grand Prize Board Ticket you bought.

The Last Number drawn will be the GRAND PRIZE WINNER, as long as no split is made prior to the drawing of the last number.

The “Lucky Shamrock Ball” (second chance ball) will be drawn after the 6th from the last number is drawn and is drawn from the “Lucky Shamrock Ball” raffle tickets that were available to be purchased prior to the start of this year’s virtual Reverse Raffle.

The last five (5) remaining grand prize board Ticket holders and the Lucky Shamrock Ball Raffle” winner will be the group of six (6) considered in the negotiations for an Even Split of the $5,000 Grand Prize Board.  The choice to “Split” or “Not Split” is to be indicated on each ticket stub for the Grand Prize Board & the Lucky Shamrock Ball Raffle when the tickets are purchased and that choice will be what guides the negotiations.

If any Grand Prize Board ticket stub of the last five (5) remaining tickets and/or the “Lucky Shamrock Ball” raffle ticket stub does not have the choice to “Split” or “Not Split” indicated on the ticket stub, we will consider that ticket(s) as a vote to “Split”.   The drawing will continue for the Grand Prize Board as long as at least one of the last five (5) remaining tickets and/or the “Lucky Shamrock Ball” ticket that have the “Not Split” option chosen on it remain in the drawing.

An EVEN SPLIT can be made only AFTER all of the “Not Split” ticket stub choices have been eliminated from the drawing.

The above rules apply to the $5,000 GRAND PRIZE BOARD DRAWING ONLY.

FORMAT FOR THE DRAWING ON THE SIDEBOARDS:

The numbers being drawn live on Facebook will also correspond to the number on each of the Individual Sideboard Ticket(s) you bought.

The ticket holder of the last ticket number remaining on each individual sideboard will win one-half (1/2) of the money taken in on that particular sideboard, if no even split is made prior to the drawing of the last number.

The last five (5) remaining ticket holders for Each Color of Each Denomination of Sideboards will be the group of five (5) considered in the negotiations for an Even Split for Each Color of Each Denomination of Sideboards.  The choice to “Split” or “Not Split” is to be indicated on each ticket stub when the tickets are purchased and that choice will be what guides the negotiations.

If an individual sideboard is not completely sold out, the unsold tickets for that sideboard will become “House” tickets.  If a “House” ticket makes it into a final five (5) group for any of the individual sideboards, the “House” choice will be to split the prize money evenly in any and all negotiations.  Remember that each ticket in of the final five (5) group has one vote in any and all negotiations until they have been eliminated from the Reverse Raffle Drawing.

If any Sideboard ticket stub of the last five (5) remaining numbers for Any Color of Any Denomination of the Sideboards does not have the choice to “Split” or “Not Split” indicated on the ticket stub, we will consider that ticket(s) as a vote to “Split”.   The drawing will continue for Each Color of Each Denomination of Sideboards as long as at least one of the last five (5) remaining tickets that have the “Not Split” option chosen on it remain on that particular Sideboard.

An EVEN SPLIT can be made only AFTER all of the “Not Split” ticket stub choices have been eliminated from the drawing.

The above rules apply to the Sideboard drawings only.

Note:   Besides the $5,000 Grand Prize Board, Lucky Shamrock Ball Raffle and the Individual Sideboards, there will be a 50/50 drawing.  50/50 tickets are $5.00 each or 4 tickets for $10.00 and will be sold in advance.  The 50/50 will payout ½ of the money brought in from the 50/50 ticket sales and will offer you an additional opportunity to win some extra “Green”.  The individual sideboards tickets that will be sold will be:  three $10.00 boards, three $5.00 boards, three $3.00 boards and three $2.00 boards which will each pay out one-half (1/2) of the money brought in from the ticket sales for that particular sideboard.

Individual Sideboard Tickets, Lucky Shamrock Ball Raffle Tickets and 50/50 Tickets may ONLY be purchased by Main Ticket Holders of the $5,000 Grand Prize Board.  Without a Main Grand Prize Board Ticket Number, you will not be allowed to purchase and/or win any of the other tickets.

The management of the 31st “Winnin’ of the Green” will be the sole judge of all rules and regulations for the “Virtual” “Winnin’ of the Green” Reverse Raffle.  If management needs to make any decisions on any of the rules & regulations regarding this year’s “Winnin’ of the Green Reverse Raffle”, once announced, those decisions will be final.

2020 Bags, Bullets & Bucks Raffle

Winning Numbers are based off of the PA Lottery Evening Pick-3 Number.

If for any reason the PA Lottery does not draw a Pick-3 Evening number on any given date and does not do a replacement drawing by noon of the next Active Aging Foundation business day, we will draw a winning 3-digit number and broadcast the drawing live on our Facebook page between noon and 12:30 pm on that business day. If the PA Lottery does do a replacement drawing after we have done our own drawing, then the 3-digit number that we drew will be the official winning number for that date.

Winning numbers will be updated on this website page on the next business day. You can watch the PA Lottery Evening Drawing on television at 6:59 pm every evening in December or check out our Facebook page “Active Aging Foundation” or check your local PA Newspaper or for a recorded message of the PA Lottery Winning Numbers for the evening drawing, please call the Plaza Lottery message center the next day after the drawing at 814-337-0106.

Because the “Early Bird Mystery Number” and the 2 Lucky Numbers on the “Michael Kors Mondays” and “Shotgun Saturdays” Side Raffle Tickets are hidden by a scratch-off area, we will not know who the winners are after each of those drawings.  The winning ticket holders must contact the Active Aging Foundation at the above telephone number and/or address to verify their winning ticket and number and to make arrangements to claim their prize.  Lost tickets cannot be replaced or verified, so hang on to your tickets until the raffle has ended.

Early Bird Drawing

Your Early Bird Mystery number is a different number than your Main Ticket Number and is located under the scratch-off area in the Early Bird Mystery Number box on the left side of your Main Ticket.  This number will be used to determine the $100 Early Bird Winner every Monday night in November.  Any prize money not claimed by 3:00 pm on the Friday of that week will be rolled over and added to the prize money for the next Monday Night Drawing.  The same rules listed above will apply to the Early Bird Drawings if the PA Lottery for any reason does not draw a Pick-3 Evening number on any given Monday evening in November.

Who We Are

The Active Aging Foundation was established to raise funds to support the programs and services of Active Aging, Inc. As an area agency on aging, Active Aging, Inc. receives the bulk of its funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Aging through allocations of the State Lottery Funds, but it was recognized early on that the development of additional funds derived from other sources would be necessary in order for Active Aging, Inc. to fulfill its mission. In fact, the raising of additional funds was seen as critical in enabling the agency to keep pace with the highest level and quality of services and facilities needed to meet the needs of current, elderly Crawford County residents and those that would call Crawford County their home in the future. With the tightening of state and federal support, the ever increasing numbers of senior citizens within the County and the physical properties that must be maintained and/or updated from time to time, the raising of additional funds from other sources has become more critical than ever before.

The Active Aging Foundation was incorporated in 1994 to provide support and assistance to advance the mission, interest and goals of Active Aging, Inc. The Foundation’s first major project was the acquisition of property around the Active Aging, Inc. headquarters located at 1034 Park Avenue in Meadville Pennsylvania for future expansion of that facility and to provide additional parking area.

The next project was the actual expansion of their headquarters that included a two-story addition and renovations of the existing Community Center of Crawford County building. The Foundation owns and maintains the Lew Davies Community Building which provides offices to Active Aging, Inc. for assessment/care management, administration, the Meadville Senior Center and the Community Center of Crawford County, which is made available for rent to the general public.

The Foundation raises money mainly through special event activities and donations from individuals and businesses. Some of our special events include our weekly Wednesday night Bingo Game along with a special, One-Price Bingo Game the first Friday night of each month; our annual Golf Outing which is held the third Tuesday in July each year; our Saint Patrick’s Day themed “Winnin’ of the Green” Reverse Raffle held the Saturday night before Saint Patrick’s Day each March; our Instant Ticket Booth at the Crawford County Fair in August of each year; and many one-day Trips and multi-day Tours that are scheduled at various times throughout the year to offer great travel destinations not only for seniors but are also open for the general public to join us.

The Foundation also owns and operates the Community Center of Crawford County which offers rental space and on-site professional catering services available for individuals and businesses for wedding receptions, seminars, banquets, business meetings, private parties and special events.

Some of the other fundraising projects that the Foundation sponsors are the Golfer Passkey Card, which gives the purchaser free rounds of golf at local area courses; the Tree of Giving Program, which provides an opportunity for individuals or groups to honor or memorialize family members, friends or associates; and special-needs campaigns to support specific events or undertakings like the construction of new Senior Centers.

The Active Aging Foundation operates under the management of the Development Director, the Executive Director of Active Aging, Inc. and a volunteer board of directors who sets policy and assists in the development of fundraising opportunities. The Foundation’s official registration and financial information may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling toll-free, within Pennsylvania, 1-800-732-0999. (Registration does not imply endorsement.)

Tree of GivingTree of Giving Photo (2)

The “Tree of Giving” program is a formalized gift program that allows you as a donor the discretion to honor or memorialize a loved one, friend or community leader. Our cast bronze recognition tree provides you with a beautiful, quality image to use to honor someone’s hard work or achievement, or remember a special personal event or anniversary or as an everlasting memorial for a loved one. As a donor, you could also place your name on a leaf to signify that you recognize and support the importance of the services provided by Active Aging, Inc. and understand that there will be an ever-increasing need for these services in the future.
We invite you to participate in our “Tree of Giving” gift program. This is an on-going and permanent gift program. The “Tree of Giving” includes brass leaves and three different size brass stones that can be engraved to your desire. Our Foundation staff would be happy to sit down with you to discuss your giving options and design a payment schedule to help meet your goals and needs.

Endowments

The Active Aging Foundation is currently developing the rules and guidelines that will be used to initiate and manage their Endowment Funds. Traditionally, an endowment is made up of funds that are restricted as to how and when they may be used, and typically only the interest generated from the investment of these funds is spent while maintaining the principal for future investment. By maintaining the funds that were originally donated and using only the earned interest to help meet the goals and mission of the Foundation, donors who make an endowment gift know that their generous support will not only help today, but for many years to come.

Bequests

Is the Active Aging Foundation in your will? Bequests are often a significant source of financial support for charitable organizations, and the Active Aging Foundation would be honored to be the recipient of your thoughtful generosity. Your gift to the Active Aging Foundation will help ensure the Foundation’s strength and ability to provide support for the programs and services offered by Active Aging, Inc. for the senior citizens who make Crawford County their home. As you formalize your personal estate plans, please consider including the Active Aging Foundation in your charitable giving plans.

Golf Outing

The Active Aging Foundation’s Annual Charity Golf Scramble is normally held on the third Tuesday of July at the Venango Valley Inn & Golf Course on Route 19 in Venango, PA.

Go Fund Me

Pets make a big difference in our lives and so can you!  The immense joy, comfort and love that our 4-legged family members provide us on a daily basis is immeasurable.  For a homebound older person, it can literally mean the difference between living life and simply existing.   As we all know, most pet owners will do anything to tend to their pets’ needs, including sharing their meals with their pets.  With the advent of new state regulations on the meals provided to senior citizens through Active Aging’s Home-Delivered Meals program, seniors now receive meals with reduced calorie counts.  If they would continue to share their home-delivered meals with their pets, they could end up depriving themselves of important nutrients and vital calories needed to maintain their health and well-being. Please help us to raise the $1,000 per month that it takes to fund this program.

We know that many seniors will share their meals with their pets for a variety of reasons, including their lack of funds to buy an adequate amount of pet food each month.  By supporting these seniors with a supplemental supply of pet food to help them maintain their pet’s nutritional needs, we have found that the senior’s nutritional needs are also being met because they are now eating all of their Home Delivered Meals without feeling the need to share their meals with their pet.

When a senior citizen diverts their food and other resources to care for the health of their beloved pet, they are putting their own health at risk.  Whenever a family member’s health is in decline, whether it is a senior citizen or their furry companion, the questions of who will help and how that help will be provided need to be answered and answered quickly to avoid more serious problems from developing.

Over the past 2 years, Active Aging has worked diligently with a pet food manufacturer and local grocery stores to ensure that seniors who receive home-delivered meals and own pets would also receive nutritious pet food.  By doing so, those seniors would not have to put their own nutritional needs at risk just to feed and care for their pet.

At no time were any funds that were budgeted for senior citizen programs and services used to provide pet food.  Independent donations were used to sustain this program.  However, the 2-year commitment of donated pet food is coming to an end and is not being renewed.  To continue this valuable initiative, we need your help.  By making a donation now, you will make it possible for us to continue to provide nutritious pet food.  You will be ensuring that both the pet and their senior owner are receiving the nutrition that they both need.  You will be making a big difference in the lives of those who need your generosity.

To participate please visit, Pets and Seniors Need You to Deliver or contact the Foundation at 814-336-1792.

Due to the current CDC and state guidelines, we have limited seating and do allow bingo seat reservations. Please see the below information regarding the Bingo Seat Request Procedure. Reserved seats are only held until 5:30 PM and are not required in order to play bingo here at the Active Aging Foundation – Walk-Ins are always welcome until we are sold out.

Due to weather concerns, regular Active Aging business activities and parking limitations, we are asking all bingo players to not arrive prior to 3:30 pm. During inclement weather and freezing temperatures, please wait in your vehicle until the bingo doors open. To reserve a seat for bingo you must use the following reservation system.

  1. Reservations will ONLY be accepted from Tuesday at noon until noon on Wednesday, for Wednesday games and ONLY Thursday at noon until noon on Friday, for Friday games.
  2. To make your reservation, please call 814-336-1792 and when the automated attendant answers, enter the extension number 158. Wait a few moments and you will be directed to leave a voicemail.
  3. The voicemail must include your first and last name (speak slowly & clearly) and the color (green, yellow, red or orange) of the room you would like to sit in. Due to the limited seating requirement, we cannot guarantee that the room you requested will be available but a seat will be reserved for you either in that room or one of the other rooms. Reserved seat requests can ONLY be done by voicemail at extension number 158. Do not call a staff member to request a seat, it will not be accepted. Any voicemail requests left before noon the day before bingo or after noon on the day of bingo, will not be accepted – to be fair, we can not make any exceptions.
  4. Due to our limited seating and to be fair to all players wanting to play bingo here, seats will only be held until 5:30 p.m. If you arrive after 5:30 pm, you can still play bingo if there are still seats available, but you will not have a reserved seat being held for you.
